journey down memory lane. adieu 2006, bonjour 2007!

ladida. time to summarise my very emotionally and physically eventful year 2006. i'll try my very best to recall the things ive done. man, i dread doing the summary because really, it's the same old routine on a different day. but for my future's sake (who knows, 10 years down the road, i would like to know what i've done etc etc), i will do it. thank you maxine for doing your part as well.

january: we celebrated our new year's eve at adam's place in cheras with a whole bunch of people i dunno (iskii's subang friends, you see). i think it was the one and only party ive ever been to that ive never brought out my camera and started camwhoring. however, i definitely had my share of fun and it was also because of the party that i got to know iskii's friends better, especially eddy han. seven days later, iskii's twenty-fourth birthday arrived and i was rushing like mad for his gift. gary & i designed a t-shirt for him but the printers definitely spoilt the design, which is why iskii has never touched the t-shirt and it's already coming to a year. HAHAHA. it's still kept in the box i gave him. i'm sorry, bii. i swear the tee wasnt suppose to look anything like that! i brought iskii to delicious for his birthday and yea, that was it. this year iskii will be celebrating his 25th birthday and i can't be with him due to family obligations. i'm sorry, bii.

february: february was the month dota started terrorising my friends and deprived them of their social lives. sandy decides to wear a tudung for chinese new year. O_________o bii decided to repaint his car and it has been idled ever since. this month was definitely a memorable one as well as i've finally celebrated valentine's day with a boyfriend. my previous relationships have never made it to valentine's days for some odd reason. muehehehehe. my bii got me a whole kilo of fattening-but-awesomely-orgasmic patchi choccies. but i still love you, despite the gaining of 15kgs in the past one year we've been together.

march: march was when i finally got the chance to meet the tetek queen in person after knowing her for aeons. it also marked the beginning of what-seemed-like-a-neverending-visit to the hospital where i had to do minor surgeries one after another.

april: i was deeply hurt this month by finding out the truth about people i used to call beloved. you know how we always meet people and then you tell one another how special you are to each other, and months later you find they were just being hypocritical. it is true, without money, you're nothing. nevertheless, thanks to a very beloved and supportive boyfriend, i've managed to stay calm and forgave those who have hurt me (they still dunno what they've done till today, which is seriously, hilarious).

anyway, my month began with a trip up north to ipoh and penang for some good food hunting as well as for cheng beng (chinese's version of all soul's day). also, iskii and i headed to the beaches of port dickson's for his drifing event. however, the event was a huge disappointment so he decided to ditch it and spend more quality time with me. which, obviously, something i won't complain about. HAHA. i think we began our sudoku addiction in april as well. up to the point we were joining competitions and attending the sudoku draws and what nots. super semangat, indeed. but hey, sudoku trains your mind well!

may: surgeries after surgeries were definitely tiring and mind-wrenching. it just makes you feel like you're so imperfect and it just puts you down big time. lynn had her farewell potluck thingy at her place and i definitely met some old faces that i've not seen for years. lol. i did some crazy stuffs with my beloved sp more and more often like swimming early in the morning and then stuffed ourselves with unlimited dimsums. that was torturing, indeed. and we actually learnt the art of pai-paing (praying) at our impromptu visit to the buddhist thai temple during wesak day.

june: it was a fattening month because judging from the photos, i was very well fed. lol. and there were heaps of gatherings that week. ive managed to organise together with sp a 'hi hi bye bye' party inconjunction with samurai's homecoming and sp's farewell. we sent sp off at the airport and it was an emotional moment because it felt like we had just started to spend so much time together and she suddenly has to leave. but it's alright, it's just another few more months before she steps back into the land of nasi lemaks and teh tariks.t-m.net had a new layout as well.

july: lol. i was so damn gung-ho about wearing a saree to my bii's indian friend's wedding and i actually got vicky's mom to tie it for me. i thought i looked good so maybe, hmmm... i should marry an indian and know for sure i'll look good on my wedding day, eh? bii brought me to pussy cat dolls's beach concert. despite the bunch of young kids trying to show off their empty chests and have major attitude problems, it was a good experience. shirley was in kl to cover the event for mtv and we finally got to meet up after two years plus.

graduated from my retarded college finally. boy am i glad to leave that place. lol. bii was there to accompany me and that was a memorable graduation, alright. later that night, we had a bbq party at suffian's to celebrate both mine and his 'graduation'. beckiskii was interviewed by a tv station as well as we were the last two lucky ones to make it to the movie marathon in an attempt to break a world record. oh, and i was damn devastated around this month as well as ALL of my photos/movies/tvseries/mp3s/downloads/designs/work for the past two years vanished into thin air thanks to a stupid computer virus. idiot.

august: i welcomed my 22nd birthday at iskii's place. i didnt want to celebrate at first but just two days before my birthday, i felt weird not celebrating because i do it every year. iskii volunteered to let me use his place and sorta helped me organise it. my bday celebration was nothing grand but i definitely had fun because it was just among my closest friends and that's all that matters. i'm someone who treasures good quality time spent with loved ones. oh, and had a great merdeka celebration with bii, our first together.

september: job hunting began and i went for a few random interviews for jobs that i wasnt even sure if i wanted to do. accompanied bii to penang for his paintball game as well and ive actually manage to send sp's birthday present to swiss through her mom. not bad rite. teeheehee!

october: one year. 365 days. 52 weeks. 12 months. omfg. that's how long iskii and i have been together and we're still counting. we celebrated our anniversarii at gusto's and the food was excellent (despite having my lamb shank tasting like sun light dishwasher). and i started my job in a micro events company (which later changed their direction to a marketing communication agency) that i so do not want to start talking about. they actually held my one month's pay and two month's claim without informing me in advance nor is it written in the contract. everyone's asking me to report them but since they say they'll pay by the end of this month, we'll see. i dunno why am i always having arse luck when it comes to the companies i work in. one thing though, NEVER EVER WORK IN A SMALL COMPANY. my god, i can just go on and on, but i'll be smart and not do that... for now.

november: left the company and my life was colorful once again. was called for interview with a few HUGE agencies but ive only went for one, which was channel v. didnt do well for reasons that i'll only reveal later. bii's open house had the best food ever and we gobbled like hungry gorillas. it's the second hari raya we've celebrated together and i wish there'll be more in the future (i definitely dont want miss any of his open houses, lol). but of course, i want to be with you more than just that reason. more firsts and lasts to be shared together, haha.

december: it's the holiday season again and it's the annual christmas-without-iskii as usual. time to shop and not getting my pay shucks. how inconsiderate of THEM to not pay me when it's the christmas month. *rolls eyes* luckily though i'm getting paid for being an audience for this particular shooting. not much, but enough to survive. had the most dreadful surgery ever on my wisdom tooth on the second week of december and it's horrible! grr... and oh, bii's in jerejak now after his trip to goldcoast two weeks ago. i'll most likely be looking forward to new years' because like the past years, there are things that you just wanna put behind and also things you wanna cherish. i'm hoping there will be more things to be treasured about next year than the things i wanna forget but i guess that it is through some of these 'down' moments that make you stronger and wiser by the day. lastly, if i have in any way offend anyone of you, please accept my sincere apology. let's start the new year with no ill-feelings. remember, make love, not war.

And yet again, we at tickle-me.net are summarizing the year that would be ending in a week’s time. I was contemplating whether I should write a really detailed summary like Becky, but decided not to, cause you’ll probably just be reading the same thing. 2006 was as always, a rather mixed up year for me. The first few months of the year, was indeed, to be honest with you, one of the best months I’ve had. No kidding. And then, the months after that were the totally opposite.

Not gonna post a lengthy summary so here are major bits and pieces of what happened during the year: New Year at 3G, Penang with besties, Valentine’s Day , Got into a rship, Uni Uni Uni, Got out of the rship, Did my industrial training and enjoyed it so much!, Went for trips to PD and Phuket, erm..what else? Oh, not forgetting all the birthday parties and celebrations and all. My birthday thingy which was celebrated with Terence & Garick. That’s about it, honestly.

This year’s Christmas is actually also quite a rough time for me. I actually thought that it would be the first Christmas that would be different and all, but, guess I was wrong. Hence why, I’m no where close to having the normal Christmas spirit like I usually have. But it’s okay, I’m just going to drown my sorrows by eating all the turkey and bread pudding and tarts and biscuits and chocolate and whatever else. :D

The past 6 months have been rather difficult months for me as I was mostly in my ‘hate the world’ stage. A few of you prolly know this. LOL. But nevertheless, I try to move on with each passing day; although very difficult, but I’m doing it right? Not counting the usual break downs and ‘I’m depressed’ moods, I guess I’m doing allright. Whatever it is, I’m really looking forward to New Years so that 2006 will be of the past and if ever given the chance, I wouldn’t want to re-live 2006 at all. Next year, its my final 4 months in uni and so I’ll be super busy especially with my FYP. I hope that goes well and that I’ll graduate successfully in May! So, cheers to the new year ahead and may it be filled with loads of success(academic wise), wealth(really need it man) and love(which as always will not happen, but hey, a girl can dream right?).

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

hi, it's becks again. haha, since maxine cannot WAIT for our photos all, i will put it here. i wanted to do an entry dedicated to her but then i promised her to post our childhood pix that ive managed to find in one of my old albums so here goes, the journey down memory lane.

i got to know max when i went to convent pulau tikus back in standard four. people thought i was this weird kid from sabah cause i was so damn tall and quiet and speaks weirdly as my every sentence has a bah suffix. it's common for people in sabah, ask anyone and they'll end all their sentences with a bah. max was the 'happening' kid in school la, sneaking out to the park opposite our school to go romancing with a neighbouring school kid, jason. that was really all that i remember about maxine back in primary school. two years later, i had to move to kuala lumpur and i lost touch with all of my penang friends except for li shih and wey ling as i would call them once in a while to check out on how things were but then our friendship soon sizzled out as well as we were all busy with our lives and i was constantly moving around.

then when i was in form three, i got to know this guy steve and somehow found out his chick was my ex classmate from cpt, shu wen (whose sis is coincidentally a dear friend of mine now. small world, i know). i then spoke to shu wen and she managed to send me a few contacts through ICQ (see, that thing really connects people ok. so turn your damn ICQ on! max and i somehow grew closer through ICQ and then through MSN. max then moved to kl as well because her uni is in cyberjaya (and mine was coincidentally moving there as well). we only met for the first time in seven-eight years at midvalley back in 2003. it was a short meeting and a year later, max started hanging out with me and the rest of the mamak gang. max was also my guest blogger but was never active. *glares* but yea, max and i have been friends for almost 13 years now and i hope our friendship will last a lifetime (i dont want to say blossom cause we both are definitely not sexually attracted to one another, hahaha!). oh, we both are sharing the same bii as well, how sweet rite. i'm wife #1 and she's wife num #2. anyway, here are some photos.
