Euphoric Moments

sisterhood of the travelling cup.

it's 1.03 in the morning now and just moments ago, i was the grouchiest monster alive. then i thought of the #pfs chimuis outing the night before and i couldnt help but smiled myself silly. ive always enjoyed my girly outings with the chimuis as we would always chatter till our mouths ache. the sight of them had my eyes lighted up like a three-year-old who just saw a gigantic house made of candies and cookies (inspired by hansel & gretel, of course). although the gang was not complete but it was good enough.

we began our night with a scrumptious thai dinner at actually thai and ive managed to refrain anyone from spilling out the juicy details of our lives until yum cha later in the night as we were expecting more chimuis. the original clique consisted of me, wern ching, ivy and michelle (who has ran off to canada). we then included yeeng but she has never really been active. ken jun was obviously not one of the chimuis (as chimuis meant soul sisters in cantonese) but he has always been part of our outings because he is like a beloved little brother to all of us.

anyways, throughout the many years ive known the clique (ivy since 1999, wern ching since 1999, michelle since 1998/99, yeeng since 1997 and ken jun since 1996), we hardly ever get to meet as a full group as we were all from different schools. ivy was from hartamas, wern ching was from catholic highschool but later on moved to sultan abdul samad thanks to our influence, michelle was from sultan abdul samad and ken jun, yeeng and i were from sunway highschool. if you know kl roads well, you can tell how far apart our schools were from each other and we definitely dont live nearby each other as well. how we managed to hang out as a very closely-knit group never fails to amaze anyone but really, we did it mainly through the then happening instant messenger, mIRC in a channel i used to own, #pfs (psycho-freakian skanks, which has no meaning to it).

and then it struck me that i have quite a few of our old photos back from our teenage days and began turning my room into a tsunami aftermath. finally found some of the photos but i'll only be posting one of it. our infamous photo back then.

the girls are so going to kill me. i showed the original pix to iskii about an hour ago (yes, i even managed to go for a quick supper before continuing this entry. LOL) and he couldnt recognise anyone but yeeng. can you? but then again, ive placed their names beside their photo so it wouldnt be that hard to guess. lol. below are some recent photos of us (all minus michelle of course, because she's stuck in canada).

havent we changed? anyways, back to our meet up yesterday, we took turns to share our life gossips and it's amazing how we can never stop talking. we're like the sisterhood of the travelling cup or something (since we constantly gossip over drinks). i'm always looking forward to our next meet up and would be glad to organise another, over and over again. it was nice going to bed with a smile in my face once in a while and im glad we all enjoyed ourselves. thanks maxine, iskii, souschefchew, tchen shun and khoi voon for joining us as well. pix will be up soon.
