4 papers down. 1 more HARD one to go. Such a torture.I just can’t wait till Thursday 11am when my papers will be over and I can just look forward to going to Phuket on Friday. Yeah,totally can’t wait!I will be going with my aunt and my bro.Yes yes, I did type AUNT! But she’s a way cool aunt, she’s like sponsoring both, my bro’s and my trip. So yeahh..pretty happy! I’m gonna really kick back and relax and really enjoy my holiday after all the shit that has been happening. Life sucks. PERIOD. Oh btw, its MAXINE blogging. Just in case you think its Becky or Yeeng. Hehe..:)
Nothing drastic has changed in my life. It’s pretty much been the same, only thing is I’ve kinda lost my bestest friend. Sad but true. Actually this has been going on for pretty much quite awhile. Well, I have a gang of really really close friends back in Penang. There’s like 7 of us who have been close practically some point of our lives. Heck, ironically, ALL of us have known each other since kindergarten! Except one, which is my BESTEST friend.We were all from the same kindy and some how remember each other during our kindy days. We ALL then went to the same primary and secondary school, so yes we have known each other for quite some time. My bestest friend and I have known each other since Form 2 and we have been inseparable since then. If you see her, you’ll definitely see me and vice versa. We did almost everything together;we had tuitions together from form 2 to 5, we had Sunday school together, had church camps together, we did our Confirmation together and everything you name it, we did it together. ( don’t get me wrong , not EVERYTHING lah). And we had to go thru a lot of shit too(friends in secondary school) but in the end both of us still remain the best of friends. We were so lucky to even be able to sit next to each other during SPM.I mean how ironic is that? Out of so many people in the freaking hall, we ended up sitting next to each other. She was there for me for so many events in my life; and I was there for her too through the good and bad times. We had so many future plans.We even promised each other to be each other’s bridesmaids for our weddings. Damn. Our families are very close to each other too; heck, I was the only one of the gang that was invited for her sister’s wedding not long ago. I was so touched.
But things have changed. My other friends and I rarely get the chance to even meet up with her and yet alone get a blinking sms or call from her. She was always the one that would call and ask what would be the plans and if anybody is going out, she used to initiate plans and stuff. But now nope. She barely calls us to go out , she’s always busy and says she can’t go out. It sucks really. And I feel it the MOST! I don’t know whether I’m really being sensitive but heck, my other friends feel it too.
She’s no longer the best friend I used to have. Since , ……. She had a bf. Why? I still don’t get why it does have to change? I mean yeah I know, you’re in love yes, but you still do not have to ignore your friends. When I had one, she ALWAYS came first to me. I never once put her aside for anything. My gang of friends have been feeling her absence pretty badly but I think I’m the one suffering the most. I not only lost a best friend, but a person whom I had so many memories and also lost a sister I never had. My mum told me, sometimes friends will never be your friends your entire life, you have to find new friends. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met loads of great friends in uni but to me, childhood friends will never ever be replaced.They are the ones that have grown up with you, seen you change and mature, they were the ones with you in the crucial part of life. But I’m still lucky I have the rest of my gang- Sheaux,Banyen,Shun,Lish,Bernie and the rest of my uni friends to hold on to for support and for great friendships- I just hope nothing like this will happen too.
To C, If you ever do read this, I’m sorry. I miss you a lot and I wish things could change.And there’s a tiny bit of hope in me wishing that we could. I’m not sure whether you do realize that we feel like this but we miss you a lot and I wish things could change and become like before. Whatever it is, that special place in my heart , will never EVER be replaced by ANYONE. You’ll always be my best friend and the sister I never had. Love you and miss you loads.
What I'm trying to say is, ALWAYS treasure your friends especially your close friends cause you'll never know how long friendships can last or how long best friends can remain the best of friends. Sad but true.
