An agreement was reached this weekend and the teachers returned to work on Monday 28 October. “With this agreement, finally concluded, we can now return to what we are all happy to do – working with colleagues and families to improve the lives of students and help them reach their maximum potential every day,” Superintendent Michael Welch said in a statement. We are so proud of the race that Jamila ran for school this year. The focus on building communities, engaging students, and advocating for our public schools has awakened our city. We can`t wait to see what she will do next. .
