since i’m already screwed…

man, am i impulsive. after sending my car for its’ virgin bath, i decided to cut my hair because i haven’t had the time to maintain my curls well and it was just dull, boring and completely unkempt. i hurried home, dragged my sister along and we went hunting for a salon that opens on sunday. we drove from an area to another and finally found one. it looks dodgy and completely unattractive but i was desperate! i could’ve driven to iskii’s usual place in uptown but that’s just too long a drive and I NEEDED A HAIRCUT IMMEDIATELY! yes, i’m being unreasonable even to myself.
as we stood at its entrance, a lady greeted us in chinese. “hai?” she greeted me in cantonese. “die!” i thought to myself, “what exactly am i bringing myself into”. “mMmm.. erMm… . .ngo.. ngo .. oi chin tau fatt” i struggled in cantonese, which meant “i wanna cut my hair”. “ching chong ching ching chong,” she replied. “HAH?! uhm, i wanna cut hair?” i answered her back, hoping she understood. she looked at me weirdly and continued speaking in cantonese. i have no absolute idea what she was saying but i just kept nodding. someone senior walked over to my chair, and continued speaking in cantonese. i tried understanding and figuring out what were they saying. i replied in english whatever i thought i understood. seriously, it was like chicken and duck speaking to one another. then came another lady, speaking in mandarin. can die. i seriously had no idea what they were saying or doing so i just let them do whatever they want. they even colored my hair… and this .. is how, i freaking look like, after the disastrous visit (together with a before photo, taken a couple of weekends ago).

i think i looked better previously but oh well, at least this is easier to take care. LOL! anyway, what’s done is done so i shall move on. i can imagine the horror on my colleague’s face tomorrow. LOL! and i have a shoot at 8am. i bet they’d be freaked out cause the color is too yellow for my liking. IT’S YELLOW. like .. ew? i’d rather pick pink anytime. too late. moving on, i gave isky four gerbils last week. they seem to be really happy living with him. i’m proud of him. he makes a good master. i think my other gerbil’s pregnant. my god, THEY’VE GOTTA STOP BREEDING! it’s driving me nuts. LOL. ok, i’m rambling. good nite. just cooked estofado, roasted potatoes with butter & herbs, and there’s sambal sotong from my mom & mixed vege from my sis. yums! *toast to a good dinner*

a short update on myself.

a short update on myself.

i just had such a fulfilling meal at kokopelli, a hidden jewel in petaling jaya. i’m not sharing this secret. but i can share with you photos of the place, taken earlier today.
i lost my youngest baby gerbil today. it was buried beneath the hays and shredded papers. poor mother gerbil is still looking for the dead baby, but i didn’t want her to see her dead baby, so i quickly buried it. rest in peace, baby gerbil. it was really weak since day one, being three times smaller than the other babies. chances of survival were slim. we’ll miss you.

us (bii & i) @ porto romano. magnificent food, always.

us (colleagues & i) @ wabisabi. really nice place, albeit a little too cramped. cute guys alert! *buzz buzz ELECTRIFIED buzz* it’s hard to concentrate on anything when you’re there because your eyes will be ogling over the hot studs there, i swear!

food i had in a week (though they’re not all mine).

us (bii & i) in my brand new car. if only i could record his reaction when i went to look for him in my new car. HAHAHA. he was speechless and ran towards me like a schoolboy chasing his school bus. so cute!

i scratched my one day old car yesterday, while taking my colleagues out for lunch at kota damansara. it’s not obvious though, because it was just at the bottom of my bumper. so unless you go under it, it’s not noticeable. it’s still a pinch for me, since the car is just a day old.
on the other side, a fellow fighter’s club member is offering to pass me his n75 from the uk. some thinks it’s a joke, but he keeps insisting it’s not a hassle. so i said ok to it. hooray and cheers to chris! thanks in advance for the phone. yay, i’m 3G-able!
i’m still contemplating if i should attend a party at wabisabi later tonight. i’m not really feeling well. it’s got to be the weather, but i’m emotionally not feeling too good too. about certain things that adults face once they’ve reached a certain stage. how discreet, i am. LOL! gotta get back to (fluff)friends-ing. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THOSE SECRET EGGS?! photos by this weekend, i promise. toodles!

at 11:48am just now, my car salesman called. “your car is here, miss,” he said, with what sounded like a smile. “OMG?! so early?!” i squealed, with delight. he laughed. i dashed down and there it was, parked right in front of my office, gleaming with pride in bright blue. i stood right in front of it, not knowing what to do. the salesman told me to take a look and check for scratches. i was like, “uh, ok. how?”. LOL! DUH! what sort of a question is that? anyway, to cut long story short, my car is here. my new baby! *slurps*
and my gerbil gave birth to five more babies yesterday. aahhh.. how blissful.

omg, i never knew watching malaysian dreamgirl could be so addictive. it’s nothing much to shout about except it’s almost close to an antm ripoff. but what makes it interesting is someone i know is in that show, and to support her, i watch it. my ex classmate, ringo is in it! go check it out, cause i got addicted!

ichiban ramen. unfortunately, i guess the amount of crowd (or lack of) proves that the place is not worth a second visit. i got a bad tummy upset after eating isky’s weird ramen.

carnaval churrascaria @ damansara utama. i just loooove the buffet! i wanna go again. anyone up for it? they have 15% discounts on wednesday! meat, yums!

pan mee!!! i’ve suddenly converted myself into a pan mee fan. just make sure it’s spicy, thin and dry, cause the soupy fat ones reminds me of my mom’s. and i don’t really like soupy stuffs unless i’m sick. so soup reminds me of my sick days. except for bak kut teh! another one of my faves. man, i love being chinese.

i was NEVER, never, a fan of char siews until i got introduced to choon yien’s earlier this year. it was excellent shit! it was, the BOMB. char siew that melts in your mouth with sugar oozing out of every bite, my god, i could just pee in my pants thinking about it. unfortunately, you’ve gotta call to book for the strips of meat, roast chicken and EVEN the soups before 11:30am to secure some for yourselves. and, also, it would really be a much pleasant visit if the guy in charge of the stall isn’t so rude. but oh well, we’ve gotta sacrifice a little to get the best, at times, eh?

i was just speaking to ronnietheperempuan (omg, how long has it been since i last spoke to him?!) about going on holidays, and i’ve just realised, i haven’t gone anywhere yet since the last time i spoke about it. my company was suppose to have a company trip to hong kong but nothing materialised out of it, so, we aren’t going anymore. i need a good holiday away from the city. to relax by the beach perhaps. and to tan myself till i burn my skin silly. and to drown my feet in salty water till it gets crumpled. unfortunately, there aren’t many people i know who are up for excitement and thrills. of not knowing where to head to and where to go. i would really like to try backpacking, or travelling to a place where not many know much. i guess i’ve gotta hang out more often and search for people who are more adventurous. even my bf, is not up for it. could it be because he gets way too pampered during his family holidays? i wouldn’t know.

madam lim’s serves the best halal chinese food ever, at a super reasonable price. you can find me there more often now, cause, i just love chinese food and it being halal is a bonus, because my bii can eat there too, without having any worries. if only i can talk him into going for vegetarian dinner with me. WHY DON’T PEOPLE LIKE VEGETARIAN FOOD? *ponders*

us @ laundry with the adorable intan to support ikram’s performance. not bad, i’d say but blues just isn’t really for me. i’ll be heading to wabisabi next week. see ya there!

anyways, it’s back to sunday again. i guess this blog gets updated only on sundays, cause it’s the only day (if i’m lucky) to be spending it at home. i miss the freedom i used to have. working life is really taking its toll on me. but i guess, this is what you get for living carefree days back in the past. i don’t wanna grow up!
p/s: i’m going crazzzzyyy over brandi carlile. indie music rawks my undies, indeed!

road trip!

road trip!

yesterday night was a crazy wild night out, indeed. the three of us did not know where the place was and koay ling was tricked, in a way, by liang wei. it sounded really far since the place was under ‘hulu langat’. but i was not crowned google queen for nothing by my colleague, and google just does wonders, i swear! so when liang wei came to pick me up, i was armed with two cameras, a shawl over the shoulder and a huge eskimo-looking faux fur coat along with print outs on maps and directions. sounds like a great road trip we’re heading too, eh?
we followed the directions and got there about fourty minutes later. we were all mesmerized by the view. it was completely breathtaking. it was, beautiful. you could view the entire city & its lights. the air was cold, but it was still bearable until much later as it gets foggier. poor koay ling was only clad in spaghetti and shorts (but that was because she didn’t know where were we going). LOL!

lookout point. *squeals* nice? ok, maybe the camera was crap, but still, imagine if it were to be taken with a kick-ass good cam?

mesmerizing, isn’t it?

the food were not too bad, suprisingly. and the prices weren’t highly overpriced either. the bill came to a total of almost rm99.

LOL, we just kept taking photos of ourselves cos i doubt i’ll be going there anytime soon. it’s such a long drive unless someone else wants to drive me.

i actually took a photo of the city and four moons showed up in the photo. i thought that was pretty creepy so i’ve decided not to post it up. i wouldn’t want any funky ghostly stuff in my blog. lol. ok, i’m too lazy to edit any photos atm. i’ll post more later. i’ve got another half a day to chill before work starts again. and having to wake up at 7am for shoot tomorrow isn’t exactly how i would like to start my week. oh well. have a great week, people!
p/s: i love jap food. i have this craving for them on a weekly basis. and ever since i’ve discovered pasta zanmai, i can’t help but keep thinking of the heavenly fusion of western and jap food. some may take a while for you to appreciate, especially the sesame sauce pasta & other non-tomato-based pastas, but it’s worth the try. they even have a japanese grocery store right in front of the restaurant. ahhh… can someone fly me to japan please? i’m beginning to like their culture (or rather, their food & language, and sometimes men!). LOL!

this is non-relevant to japanese culture but i think angel yeoh (the one in yellow) is hot. she might not be known to many but i’ve loved her very much as a talent since she came for some yoga casting job that i was on. she has a smile that melts hearts and a very easy to work with attitude. surprisingly, my bii loves her too! plus, if you are still seeking relevance to something japanese, she does look like a jap at times. AhHh.. *continues perspiring*

heh. that’s funny. it’s amazing what some people are capable of doing and saying but please, by all means, go ahead. i couldn’t care less. if it makes you happy to put others down, help yourself. what isn’t true, won’t hurt anyways. i just think you’re an incredibly delusional person and it just puts a smile on me whenever you try so hard to make people believe your stories. bravo! we all know the real you, so we don’t care! i’m actually a very VERY forgiving person but somehow, i doubt it’s ever reconcilable for us. i wonder why, really.
on a happier side, i think i lost a kilo! haha, after an ‘almost sugar-free’ diet for the past a week and a half, i guess it paid off. slow, but as long as i’m losing something, i’m pleased. i should really cut down on the good food i’ve been having. it’s not HELPING!

i’ve ALWAYS been a fan of borneo rainforest but if i was a first timer yesterday, i would’ve definitely banned the place. firstly, a waiter sat me on a table for five. as i plunged my ass on the seat, this rude lady who looks like she’s (okay, nvm, i’ll save the info to myself)… asked me how many person was i expecting. “four, including me,” i answered, quite shocked by her rudeness. “could you please move to the next table. this table is for five!” she said, with no smile on her face, or probably because she couldn’t (i’ll save the info once again). for the whole two hours i was there, she had not SMILED at a single table! my god. and then our drinks got mixed up because the waiter didn’t state our table number on the list. how clever, i’d say. that took plus/minus, thirty minutes. and then, our food took an hour to come, except for ken jun’s. an hour and fifteen minutes later, still nothing. ken jun then walked to the respective stall and asked for his food. another ten minutes later, it came alright, but it was FREAKING burnt! like it was done on purpose or something. after we’ve all agreed on how bitter it was (due to the burnt bits, which was half?), we sent the food back. and ms. rude-y was rolling her eyes at the chef. so another ten minutes later, the food arrived. ken jun was really upset with this whole thingy and i think it was definitely a very bad impression for first timers. i tried comforting ken jun & wern ching that the service were usually great (and i’m a huge supporter of carol, the co-owner of that place). however, i doubt they’ll ever return if the service were to remain that horrible. maybe i should make my complaint heard and complain straight to carol, we’ll see. however, just as long as ms. rude-y isn’t there, i’m sure the evening would’ve been a better pleasure. isky suggested that they probably shouldn’t be doing table service at such a huge place with hidden tables & seats, and probably train some of their waiters properly because we had to keep repeating orders. huge let down, but i’ll return (not so soon though), to show support to carol & sis.

bak ‘good’ teh @ centrepoint. i actually doubt the quality of the food when i first stepped into this place but the moment the food came, i fell in love at first taste! i would highly recommend this place to ANYONE who is able to eat pork because even if you don’t like bak kut teh, this place will definitely change your mind about it! bonus: this place is squeaky clean & parking is free for the first hour.

an amazing chinese new year dinner @ ruai, borneo rainforest (complete opposite from my night there yesterday). no photos from the official launch because i was there for less than five minutes. i’m no longer a fan of crowded places, i guess.

i LOVE vegetarian food, but unfortunately, i dunno any who loves it as much as i do. *yums*

and i’m still waiting for my car. thanks to the recently launched facelifted version, i’ve gotta wait a maximum of one month because of a particular color that i want. anyone wants a ride? i’m paying a bomb for it, but i guess, as long as i’m happy, it’s good. i mean, i should splurge on something i really like rather than, you know, settling for something that i don’t have a ‘chemistry’ for.
i would also like to have a new dslr, a new lap top, a new mobile (see previous entry), a new wardrobe & a new .. body? HAHAHA. that’s going to take years & a whole lot of effort & discipline. as for the rest, i can only afford if there’s a huge increment coming. i FREAKING doubt it. anyways, i’m looking forward to a tremendous change this year. let’s all hope it’s for the better. *cheers to life & whatever that the future holds*

HAPPY 29th MONTHLIIVERSARII, BII!!!

heh! and he had the cheek to say he’s ‘almost’ bored of me already. lol. 29 months means, it’s close to two and a half years. i guess that’s an awful long period to be together. HAHA. anyway, i’m rushing out to borneo rainforest for dinner. i’ll continue later. just wanted to make sure i had a post on this date. toodles!
p/s: kylie, pass me the photos of us at klcc & poppy!!! *muaks*
